Epinions All who wander are not lost

by  sleahy,  May 26, 2005
Pros: Music, Voice Nav, and Autorouting in one package
Cons: Screen glare, no Wifi, not waterproof
The Bottom Line: Overpowers dedicated GPS navigators with its versatility and entertainment capability. Just be sure to buy a big memory card!
Review: Problem: How does one go about selecting a GPS Navigation System suitable for use on a motorcycle? After a disappointing experience with a small hand-held unit, I put together the following list of requirements: 1. Full autorouting with voice prompts ...

Epinions Another Great Garmin Product!

by  wreck-diver,  Dec 7, 2005
Pros: GPS antenna built in. Good Garmin build quality.
Cons: No wireless or VGA screen. Bluetooth stopped working (but Garmin is fixing).
The Bottom Line: Solid Garmin reputation into a solidly-built PDA/GPS device. PERFECT for travellers (especially RV). I would recommend this to anyone!
Review: I have always been interested in GPS technology, and when I decided to purchase the Garmin M5 I was certainly not disappointed. Before I make a purchase like this, I always research it as much as possible. The M5 is now my 4th GPS system. I picked it ...

Epinions Lost nevermore

by  MajorWombat,  Dec 22, 2005
Pros: accurate. Light. Full functioned PocketPC. Good maps. Great in emergencies.
Cons: Not cheap. Antenna has potential to be broken off if not stowed when GPS off.
The Bottom Line: It's like buying a navigation system and getting a free PocketPC with it. Handy, light and very useful, especially in unfamiliar towns.
Review: I bought my wife an Ique M5 for Christmas. And it has been a wonderful little gadget! I wish I had one of these for myself. The M5 is a general purpose Pocket PC, with Word, Excel and a few other programs already installed. The computer will keep ...

Epinions Review of the Garmin IQUEM5

by  calld,  Sep 20, 2006
Pros: Outstanding navigational capabilities and familiar operating system.
Cons: Have to purchase the memory stick seperately to save personal data.
Review: I bought this product over 1 year ago and use it often. I travel a lot on business and purchased this because it combines navigation and personal planning. Even if you have never used a Garmin product before you can quickly learn to navigate even the ...

Epinions Best all around PDA GPS product

by  germanator,  Dec 11, 2005
Pros: Love the PDA GPS combination, comes with all Software and hardware required no extras needed
Cons: would love WIFI integration
Review: I had this M5 for 1 month now and I am completely happy with it. I had a 4 year old Garmin e-map GPS which was nice. But this one blows every standalone GPS away. I bought a 2GB SD card and loaded the entire US + Canada maps on it still have 256MB spare. ...

Epinions A Nifty Little Gizmo

by  librarianmi,  Oct 21, 2006
Pros: Complete PDA and GPS in one handheld unit
Cons: Not very intuitive Long learning curve
The Bottom Line: I'm very pleased with the iQue M5. For the price of a decent Garmin GPS, you also get a sophisticated and useful PDA.
Review: I’m very pleased with my little iQue M5 GPS/PDA. While it’s not perfect, it’s pretty darn amazing. I had actually purchased a Lowrence iWay 350 GPS, but then my husband discovered the iQue on sale at Costco for about $100 more. With the iQue offering ...

Epinions Garmin IQ M5 - Mixed Results

by  ringocat2001,  Jul 20, 2005
Pros: Battery life; lots of features in one unit, small size, great voice navigation
Cons: Not reliable, GPS inconsistent, poor customer service, Pocket PC OS not great, programs crash
The Bottom Line: Seperate GPS and PDA would be better. It's been good, even great at times, but very unreliable, and frustrating.
Review: I resisted the temptation to review this unit the first week I had it, since it takes a while to learn. I've had it three months now, with mixed results. First the good: the voice navigator is awesome, clear and easy to understand. The car window ...

Epinions Nice Try, but Disappointed

by  jammerdjc,  Jun 20, 2006
Pros: lots of great functionality; pocket PC for all your PDA needs
Cons: hangs when finding things, sometimes requiring a hard reset
The Bottom Line: Great idea, but too underpowered to be useful and ultimately I had to return it. Disappointing for Garmin.
Review: The Garmin iQue M5 is a PDA with the added feature of a GPS. Garmin maps are great as usual and are the best feature of this little device. With all the functionality of a Pocket PC (outlook for mail, contacts, tasks, mp3 player, etc) this should be a ...
