Good build, features and so on, but not a close shave

I bought this shaver system at Costco for a fair price with the intent of replacing my older Braun (6520) razor. What I found consistently was that the new 360 didn't shave as close as the old razor. Proven time and again if I shaved with the old razor after the newly cleaned and charged 360, I always got additional clippings in the old razor after just a few passes. I cannot say the same if the order of shaving (old razor then new) was reversed.
So with all the great hype of always clean and charged,and with all the status LEDs lighting up my bathroom, I'm not pleased that my "5 o'clock shadow" appears by noon.
Regrettably, I returned the whole thing for a refund at Costco.
