Humble Pie includes: Steve Marriott, Peter Frampton (vocals, guitar); Greg Ridley (bass); Jerry Shirley (drums). Recorded live at The Whiskey A-Go-Go, Los Angeles, California in December 1969. This is a DualDisc, which contains a CD on one side of the disc and a DVD on the other. As one of the premier British "boogie" bands of the late '60s/early '70s, it's widely agreed by classic rock enthusiasts that Humble Pie was best experienced in its natural habitat, the concert stage. HP was already the subject of several live albums from this era (most notably the classic 1971 release PERFORMANCE: ROCKIN' THE FILLMORE) when 2002 saw the release of an archival live recording, LIVE AT THE WHISKEY A-GO-GO '69. This early phase of the band is usually regarded as the group's finest, as singer/guitarist Steve Marriott had the perfect foil in the form of Peter Frampton, just prior to Frampton launching his solo career.
