The Legend is also designed to provide precise GPS positioning using correction data obtained from the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS). This product will provide position accuracy to less than three meters when receiving WAAS corrections.

Good GPS unit for the casual user

Pros: Rugged. Easy to read in sunlight. Runs a long time on 2 batteries

Cons: Keeps losing reception.

The Bottom Line: The Etrex Legend needs a perfectly clear sky with no cloud cover or trees in order to lock on to the satellites.

A good gps unit for the money

Pros: Small, allows you to find your location easily

Cons: Loses signal indoors and in dense urban areas / trees

The Bottom Line: good for if you enjoy the outdoors, but for vehicle navigation its a little tough.
